Solo Journey to Scottsdale, AZ

More can be merrier, but sometimes it is the solo journeys in life that can have the largest impact, and when yours brings you to Scottsdale, we can promise a vacation that will become one of your most cherished memories. Explore our guide for a solo journey to Scottsdale, AZ below.

Solo Journey to Scottsdale, AZ

Scottsdale is a town of many, many different personalities, offering the subtle beauty of a flower blooming on a desert cactus, the sublime experience of shopping for the most celebrated red-soled shoes, and so many self-care opportunities, it may be difficult snap out of your lovely self-indulgent haze when it is time to tackle real life again. And because it isn’t always easy planning a solo journey to Scottsdale or any town in the US, we at Paseo Homes have created this guide that will help you fill in all the empty spaces on your Arizona vacation itinerary.

Day 1: Pizza Night In

Your first day in Scottsdale is more than likely going to be a short one as you spend most of the hours in transit, so why not take this first night to order a delicious pizza from Night Owl Pizza & Drinks (They deliver!) and get to know the comforts of your home sweet vacation home? Located at 1645 Hayden Road and offering very unique and delicious pizza fries in addition to their very tasty pies, Night Owl is also a great place to hang out and enjoy an ice cold beer with your pizza.

Day 2: Take a Hike

The best way to understand Scottsdale starts with a hike through the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, offering 11 trailheads and over 230 miles of shared-use trails. Those who have never explored a desert before often believe they are arid and lifeless, but as you hike along the Marcus Landslide Trail, watch the sunset from your spot on the Gateway Loop Trail, or take photos of the roadrunners that cross your path, you will discover for yourself the life that permeates the desert.

Day 3: Self-Care Is Everything

In the real world, we often put ourselves last, staying up late to bake cookies for our kid’s bake sale they told us about at the last minute or working through the pain in our backs because our bosses need us to work through the massage you already had scheduled. This is why a spa day is destined to be the most memorable experience on your solo journey, and Spa Avania, 7500 E Doubletree Ranch Road, is where we think you should go. Offering a French-Celtic mineral pool and a long list of spa services that include wraps, massages, skin, nail, and hair, your spa-day will be your favorite day.

Day 4: An Elevated Shopping Experience

It doesn’t matter if you have 20 people traveling together or you are all by yourself, if you don’t plan a visit to Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E Camelback Road, you will regret it. In a world where malls are dying out, this high-end shopping center is actually thriving, and remember the red-soled shoes we were talking about earlier on this page? The Christian Louboutin store in the mall is where you can get yours, or you can shop for something glittery at Tiffany’s or watch a movie at the Harkins Theater. Also offering some of the best restaurants in the state, including our personal favorite, Ocean 44, (steak and seafood) you might want to pause your shopping adventures long enough to enjoy a fine meal.

Day 5: Museums on a Hot Day

Our summer temps can be a little difficult to get used to, but if you participate in activities that are air conditioned, you will be able to play while avoiding the worst of the heat. Western history buffs will appreciate the exhibits offered by Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, 3830 N Marshall Way. Art fans will need to explore the masterpieces found at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, 7374 E 2nd Street. And sports enthusiasts may want to closely examine all that the Fiesta Bowl Museum, 7135 E Camelback Road #190, has to offer.

Day 6: At Home With Paseo Homes AZ

On your last full day in Scottsdale, (day seven is generally another travel day) you may want to take some time to stay home and explore all the wonderful amenities we offer in our Scottsdale sanctuaries. State of the art televisions, home theater rooms, and game rooms may be found inside, while outside, swimming pools, hot tubs, cornhole games, outdoor kitchens, even putting greens are just some of the exterior amenities we offer in our beautiful and extremely comfortable Arizona accommodations.
