The first thing you may notice when you roll into town is the Gilbert Water Tower, standing over 200 feet tall and lit by neon lights that are constantly changing. Built in 1927 to hold water for drinking and for firefighting purposes, today, it is the focal point of Gilbert’s thriving downtown community, known as the Heritage District. Home to over 30 restaurants, our guests who choose Gilbert for their vacation accommodations location will never have far to go to find a good meal. In the fall months, Gilbert commemorates the first road that went through town with a multiple day celebration known as Gilbert Days, a celebration that includes a parade down Gilbert Road.
More Than Restaurants
Although the main thoroughfare of Gilbert is known for its restaurants, there is more to this town than delicious food. The Hale Center Theater, located at 50 W Page Theater, is a performing arts theater that features family friendly shows, live concerts, and a variety of other special events. Another popular spot that serves food but is also famous for its musical entertainment, is Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row. Serving up live music and cornhole games, its menu features standard pub grub that is loved by all who taste it. And wine lovers will love the small plates served at Postino, but it is the wines they serve that will bring you back time and time again.
