Phoenix Concert Venues
There are many things you can do during your visit to the Valley of the Sun and your stay in our luxurious Paseo Homes vacation escapes, including attending the concerts of your favorite performers. As you may expect from a major metropolitan arena, there are multiple concert venues, and because we are such a big region, the superstars in the music world all make plans for a stop in the desert! Obviously, the concert selection changes from month to month, but we thought we would tell you about some of the biggest acts that have either been here recently or are scheduled to appear soon and the Phoenix concert venues in which they play. And, of course, it goes without saying that coming home to Paseo Homes after a night of loud music will be a relief to your ears as you take in the serene atmosphere, the quiet night, and everything that makes our properties stand out while also still managing to soothe your frazzled nerves.
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, State Farm Stadium in Glendale
The city of Glendale actually changed their name to Swift City for the two-night performances of everyone’s favorite gal singer, and we can honestly say it was one of the best concerts we have seen! Held in March at the Cardinals home stadium, State Farm Stadium, the place was booked solid, the music was perfect, and many young girls’ dreams came true when seeing this beautiful superstar for the first time. Arizona was actually the kickoff to her highly successful tour that sold over 54,000 tickets per show.
Arizona State Fair September and October
As the weather begins to cool down, the Arizona State Fair comes to town, and of course, the line-ups for their concerts offer a stunning array of our favorite superstars! In 2023 alone, Walker Hayes, Becky G, and Ne-yo are just a few expected to appear at 1826 W McDowell Road, and because fair admission is included with the concert ticket prices, you and your favorite traveling partner can play all day and party into the night, knowing that at day’s end, you will be heading home to your Arizona sanctuary to rest your tired feet.
Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater, 2121 N 83rd Avenue in Phoenix
Outdoor concerts are big in our beautiful hometown, and Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater is definitely one of the biggest venues in the area! Hosting the superstars you love to watch, upcoming line-ups include Foo Fighters, Jason Aldean, and Disturbed’s Take Back Your Life Metal Tour. This venue may actually be one of our favorites, offering both seated areas near the stage and grassy areas where you can spread a blanket on the grass and dance with abandon as the stars light up the sky AND the stage before you.
Crescent Ballroom, 308 N 2nd Avenue in Phoenix
Not all concerts have to be grand affairs with thousands of people screaming and cheering. Some of the best concerts we have ever attended have been in the more intimate venues, where you just feel closer to the performers, including the Crescent Ballroom. Offering 500 seats and a surprisingly diverse concert lineup, you may not catch Taylor Swift or Ozzie Osbourne playing, but chances are you will connect with an up-and-coming performer that has a bright and shiny future ahead of them, and you will be able to say you saw them before they made it big!
Celebrity Theater, 440 N 32nd Street in Phoenix
Another smaller venue, the Celebrity Theater, offers 2650 seats to your favorite concert and also provides a revolving stage that makes it easier to get seats that are close to the stage; no seat is more than 70 feet away! Built in 1963, the historic theater has seen some of the world’s biggest superstars, including Diana Ross, Olivia Newton John, B.B. King, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jeff Beck, David Bowie; the list of past performers is an endless array of the best of the best and the future looks equally bright for concert goers as well. For example, on December 9th in 2023, Alice Cooper presents his 21st Annual Christmas Pudding extravaganza, a fund-raising event for Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers in Phoenix, with performances by Sammy Hagar, Quiet Riot, Nancy Wilson from Heart, Sixwire, and of course, Alice Cooper himself! This annual fundraiser concert has always put a little more spirit into the Christmas season, and we can’t wait to get first row seats.
